''...que el agua era la Matriz, el Plantel y la Madre de la que derivan Todas las cosas, y por la que se hacen lo que son: Aqua est ea, aqua Omnia siunt; y bajo la idea del agua, concebían un cierto Húmedo Lunar que de ella Emana, bajo la norma de una Esencia llena del FUEGO SOLAR, que da el SER, la Vida, la acción y la Conservación a Todas las Generaciones'',...'
(Gobineau de Montluisant, Enigmas en El Gran Portal, París.1714)
'The Sage will listen and absorb more instruction, and the understood one is the one who acquires right direction, he will understand the words of the Sages, and their ENIGMAS'... (1)
Master Florid Esprit Gobineau de Montluisant, born in Chartres at the end of the sixteenth century, was a deeply spiritual French alchemist and a broad connoisseur of the iconographic symbolism of Arte Regio and the carving and polishing of the sacred stone = Magnum Opus.
There is a work unknown to laymen in which Gobineau de Montluisant, manages to explain alchemically-centuries before Fulcanelli-, enigmas and hieroglyphs exposed in the stone of the Cathedral of Paris.
The Alchemist Masters of La Rosa Pétrea are established solidly between the twelfth and seventeenth centuries in Western Europe, distilling the Eternal in the transcendent and immanent of the Alchemical-Sacred Stone.
The elaboration of the work of the raw stone in the Temple-Cathedral involves a whole spiritual process of Chrysopoeia = Making internal Gold in order to solarize the Brute Stone transforming it into Templar polished Cubic Stone.
We are temple stone!
It is truly a theurgical relationship of solar ascension and internal purification between raw stone and Man=Pentalfa-Star and microcosm.
Alchemical process of correspondences of an astrological nature. The elaboration of the Divine foundation stone of the medieval Cathedral is a whole alchemical process of the Divine Art and lapidary technique or hieratiké techné.
Esprit Gobineau during the middle of the seventeenth century made meticulous studies dedicated to the Art of Hermes and its alchemical-Hermetic science.
There is his little-known work, where he concretizes the defundamente ideological study of the constitution of the stone and the symbols of the Cathedral of Paris; this centuries before the master Fulcanelli.
From the same author d'Esprit Gobineau de Montluisant there is another old treatise or Manuscript, of which, we will proceed to synthesize part of his alchemical work. (2)
Gobineau de Montluisant, elaborates a first edition of 1640 containing his Enigmas. Possibly, his only alchemical work inspired by chain of transmission and Tradition of Hermetic Alchemy. Very little is known of his public life, despite the appearance of documentation of his poetry, of strong religious tendency and his famous acrostics. (3)
Returning to the alchemical hermeneutics of the Portal de Notre-Dame proposed by the Master of the Fleur-de-Lis Gobineau, we find there a veritable treasure of allusions and a complex alchemical symbology in composition and alchemical explanatory symbology of the Stone of Master Builders of Paris.
It is thanks to Master Gobineau, that we know of the condition and establishment of a Golden Chain of shared wisdom and astrological-Kabbalistic-alchemical-hermetic heritage, among the educated monks and alchemist monks, cultured masters of the polished stone of the Middle Ages. (4)
That was the alchemy that fascinated the vision that alerted the stone brother Victor Hugo, in his Romantic fascination with The Lady of Paris. And it is worth saying that thanks to Gobineau and his studies, it is known of the alchemy hidden by master builders in the stone of the cathedral.
We can say that the character Claude Frollo (Victor Hugo-1832), is spiritualized by the rigorous research of Gobineau. A hidden symbolism of the 'Gothic architettura' of Notre-Dame, it is totally immersed between the wisdom of the Sacred Ternary and Geometric-Pyramidal Triad; exhibited in alchemical iconography as a Principle of the Magisterium of The Stone Flower.
'Now he knows that this seed is generated by metals in this way: the celestial influence, by the command and order of God, descends from above and mixes with the properties of the stars.
When this conjunction takes place, then these two give birth to a terrestrial substance, somehow Third, which is the Principle of Our seed, of its origin so that it can show the ancestors of its generation.' (5)
Gobineau was known in Chartres for his interest in poetry, alchemy, kabbalah, and being a man of deep alchemical and spiritual knowledge.
Pious (Pietate-Iustitia) and upright the Master Alchemist and 'Sieur de Mont-Luisant'.
Part of his thought expands and represents through Manuscripts-many of them of questionable authenticity-, like others, of great value and intellectual esteem: 'Acrostiche sur les noms de Nosseigneurs de la Cour de Parlamen de Metz'. (edited 1634)
This work quoted from him is the little known:'La Royal Themis, she is the one that contains the effects of Divine, Human and Moral Justice: Established in the Court of the Parliament of Metz(1634)=La Royale Themis Qui Contient Les Effects de la Iustice Divine, Humaine,et Morale':...
But, the magnum opus that interests: The Enigmas and Physical Hieroglyphs that are in the Great Portal of the Cathedral and Metropolitan Church of Notre Dame de Paris published belatedly in 1754.
The Manuscript merges his Very Curious Instruction on the Ancient Situation and Foundation of the Church and on the Primitive State of La Cité, a work rich in content and historical and documentary meanings on the Cité of Paris (MDCCLIV).
The Enigmas of the Cathedral of Paris were later published in the famous Bibliothéque des Philosophies Alchimiques ou HermSalmon's quotes (Volume IV-336-393) and have not been fully explained as we will do today.
In the introduction to the Enigmas Master Florido Gobineau exposes a very Curious Preliminary Instruction on the Ancient Situation and Foundation of notre Dame Cathedral.
Its original appearance -tip of the Island- and the proximity to the Seine make it possible to establish the Church and its first citizens.
From the beginning, Master Florido Gobineau uses alchemical language and enigmatic and hermetic parables to express the double luminars of the Macrocosm. '... and made him look at the Seine as the Mother Nourish of all the inhabitants of this Island, and the Sun as his father;...'
Let us remember The Emerald Tablet: 'The Sun is the Father, the Moon is the Mother'.
And, to maestro Florido Alexandre Sethon=The Cosmopolitan.
'... the one for whom the Sun does not shine; it is in thick darkness, just like the one for whom, at night, the Moon does not appear.
For the alchemist Gobineau de Montluisant, Paris was originally the city of ISIS=Pa ra Isis=Paris. "ISIS MOTHER is the subject, the object and the Image of the Secret Work of the Wise" (Gobineau)
According to oral tradition those men who settled on the Island followed the Art of Doing Good as a faithful motive and legitimate inspiration that Nature inspired, dictated and buried them deep in their hearts according to the Master of Mont-Luisant.
Search and path to find a 'blissful life' that comes from above by venerating the divine virtues as the object and subjection of their natural journey.
For the old Insular Village of the Cité of Paris, the Seine was the 'second cause' life-giving as 'succulent, vital and nutritious milk' in direct representation of the Humid Radical = impregnated with the fire-celestial heat and by virtue of emerging from the same waters-lap of that humid radical = Universal and Spiritual.
It is radical Wet is Celestial Dew or Universal Spirit of Life in the purity and candides of a Sublunar Nature.
That same Sublunar Nature is Engine and First Agent =The ARTIST.
It is original humidity and Rocío del Cielo=Mutus LIBER for the Sons of Art and the Sun.
Ora Lege Lege Lege Relege Labora Et Invenies=Pray, read, read, reread, work and you will find.
For the Master Alchemist Gobineau, there is a Universal fluid born and pre-created by means of a game and atmospheric phenomenon-taken to the Athanor=Furnace-; between the Moon and the Sun that works in a theurgical way the fluids emanated from the disturbances of the magnetic solar fluids or production chain of the Dew of the Sky or, the 'Celestial Fluid'.
'If in the course of a night, calm and serean becomes windy and covered, not only will the ROCÏO cease to occur, but it will disappear or decrease a lot.' (6)
It is thanks to this glorious humidity that the Secret Magnet is activated that manages to embody and recover that 'vital essence' of its mixed identified as a nutritive substance of growth and Perfection, which Old Alchemist Masters know=:Vis duplex, Rebis=double thing.
It is substance with the internal capacity of Male-Female polarity or Virtue of Above and Virtue of Below in complete harmony and analog sympathy.
And, the most important thing of all, is that that Humid Radical and Celestial Rocío, in the Mystical-Alchemical Sense of Life, is 'Symbolically the Holy Virgin, Mother of Jesus Christ and Notre Dame. It's her and only she the Path and the Way by which God comes to us'.
(Gobineau, Enigmas p. 135)
'We are indebted to this Wife of God, this Virgin without Macula, who intercedes between Him and us and before Him for our favor, who is also Mediatrix, the Cité, the House of God,.. and the Gate of Heaven'...
(Gobineau, p.135)
The transformation and spiritual regeneration of man is affected by receiving that solar liquid and fluid as source and the Triangular Firm Stone of life and salvation according to Montluisant.
