The Sacred Astro-Metallic Wheel of Hermes or Zodiacal Belt
Víctor. Arturo. Cabello. Reyes.

In the rich iconography and symbology of Master Thoth Hermes, astrology-astronomy is the Path or Way of maximum ascension that indicates the sacred and theurgical finger of Master Hermes.
Hermes points upwards, towards the ascension to the stellar and zodiacal Heaven using his index finger as a faithful indicator of the Way to follow.
Each gesture and finger points towards a hidden meaning that spreads among the multiple levels of expression of a gnosis and ancient and traditional ancient and highly sacred wisdom.
That circular and metallic object that we see in the hands of Hermes-Thoth, was the precursor of the = (orrerya = mechanical model of the solar system, or of just the sun, earth, and moon, used to represent their relative positions and motions).
It is a metallic Model of the astrological Cosmos.
But the original system of orbs is millenary, and it is possible to observe it among many of the beautiful representations of sacred art and alchemical iconography, among the engravings in wood or metal= (gold, silver and others).
They, the spheres, are known as 'celestial spheres' and Orbis = astrological-zodiacal circles.
Since the Middle Ages, they would form an essential part of the scriptorium = desk of the medieval Master astrologers and sages of the Monasteries and Convents.
For Isaac Newton there was a Celestial Code immersed in the mathematical-geometric proportions of the Solomonic temple and within the immersed power of the geometry of the astrological point and circle.
Through the initiatory orders it is possible to transmit between the Degrees = (2nd degree), an ancestral and scholarly knowledge (Euclidean geometry) regarding those spheres or Globes of the Cosmos, transmitted through the Wisdom hidden in the astrological-cosmic Capital the Column B = of the force in the same Capital.
Said Tradition of the zodiacal sphere or belt on the Column of the establishment and already framed within the rigor of the Templar geometric structure dates back to pre-Jewish and Solomonic (Egyptian and Mesopotamian) traditions.
But in the Records, it is evidenced from 1560; since the Solomonic Pillars do not contain the zodiacal spheres.
This metallic circle in -Balance and equilibrium-, on the finger of Master Hermes, it is the maximum expression of the sacred homology Sky-Cosmos-Earth and the correspondences of that stellar Sky and astrological belt in each of the Twelve Metallic-Planetary Gates = (Ripley-Calcination) from its domain and characteristic between metal star and man.
There are 12.
Hermes indicates us upwards since:
'' Esse refert Hermes surpasses inferioribus aequa, si quis mirandum perficere optet opus, Wanderers celso cernuntur in ax Planetae, His est par est lapidis, Mater vaga Cynthia. Ventus ventre natum, terra cibavit eum ''. =
''It is said by Hermes that the higher must be equated with the lower, if you want to do a marvelous work. Wanderers on high are moved in the axis the Planets.
For its Metalliferous future, the earth is similar.
''The Wind has carried him in her womb. The earth has nurtured it. ''
(Viridiarum Chymicum)
One element to take into account, with great attention, is that the Hermetic Finger when touching and pointing towards the Center of the Circle comes to embody the manifest objective of God as = Point and Center of THE ALL.
Since the Theurgical magic of Hermes is Cosmic Geometry and that same Geometric Point prevents all discordant effluxion and centralizes it by rejecting the anomalous dispersion from the Center.
It is the Sacred Point of the Circle that we can '' see '' in the cult and well-thought-out stained-glass work of Notre Dame or Chartres = (see stained glass and observe the Central Point and 12 zodiacal angels in Chartres or central point-stained glass of Rheims).
From there, the circle branches out in its particular geometric modality, coming out of that Eye of God or Central Point of Geometric Embedding.
That is the Finger of Hermes!
''The Essence of God is like a Wheel (...) and the more one contemplates it, the more one understands its Form, and the more one understands it the more one delights in it. ''
(Jacob Bohme, 1612)
Metallic spheres are associated with Arab astronomers and with metalworking in convents and abbeys.
It was the metallic circle and Orb one of the favorite tools of Pope Sylvester II magician, astrologer and cabalist.
Among the art of the monasteries, we find it in San Agustin and San Benito and his desk as a faithful tool of knowledge and in Hans Holbei = The ambassadors cannot be absent from the table of tools, alluding to the scientific concerns of the time.
This tradition becomes an artistic work by expressing the wisdom of the Orbs or Zodiacal Belts in the field of art, sculpture and painting.
(Claudius Ptolemy, La Geographiáa Venice, 1547, Silvio Belli, Libro del misurm con la vista, Venice, 1570, J.J. Boissard, De Divinatione et magicus praestigiis, 1615, and in Antonio del Pollaiolo, Tomb of the Pontiff and Astrologer = Sixtus IV, 1493)
But it is undoubtedly the Master Florido Athanasius Kircher who takes the baton of the pontifical Knowledge presenting the German priest and missionary father, Johann Adam Schall, with a compass and astrolabe next to the Metallic Orb of the astrological Cosmos.
(Joscelyn Godwin, Athanasius Kircher, Front page and p.54 and in Kircher, La Chine Ilustrata, p.193)
Already during the 18th century these astronomical measuring devices were turning some of them into elaborate copper or silver telescopes.
It should be clarified that the astrological tradition of Galileo, Kepler, Copernicus and Tycho Brahe was modified and acquired a certain degree of 'scientific' sustainability according to the maturity and understanding of the knowledge of the time.
In his Journey to Ecstasy or, Iter Exstaticum Kircherianum (1660), it is the angel COSMIEL who carries the Globe of the Zodiac in his hand and the complexity of that angelic Knowledge is verified in his Circle or astronomical clock similar to the combinatorial wheels of the Flowery Master Raimundo Lulio.
Maestro Florido Kircher takes this art of engraving and the significance of the zodiacal sacral circle to incredible levels of expression.
(A. Kircher, Magne sive de arte magnetica)
Hermes Lord of the Cosmos indicates us upwards as the arduous Process of Solar ascension and Path of astrological-metallic-planetary Sublimation through the Twelve Signs of the Cosmic-Zodiacal Wheel and Belt of Hermes with its 12 Keys o Doors divided into 365 = '' As above is below ''.
It is the Master's Hand that indicates most of the Celestial Belt between signs and charges of the time zones so that the Powerful Nature of Hermetic Mercury Take Wings and rise Winged to Heaven.
That metal sphere in the hands of the Master must say something like this ...
