Peregrino of Cristo

'Raymond Lull had promise to the King of England a bell whose ringing would be heard throughout the World-at least through Europe.'
(Antoine Faivre, The Golden Fleece and Alchemy, p.40)
In the beautiful city of Prague, the diplomatic cult and ambassador (1581-1608) Catalan Don Guillen de San Clemente (1530-1608), introduces to the Court of the magic circle of the Emperor the Lulian Dr. John Dee, intermediary San Clemente, between the philosophy-theology of Llull and the wise, scholar Emperor Rudolf II.
According to San Clemente, he was a direct descendant of the Catalan mystic and alchemist Ramon Llull, and who according to the sages who followed the Circle of Alchemists and Researchers of the Prague Court, came to possess the Divinal Gift of the Philosopher's Stone. (1)
In another historical context, at the beginning of the fourteenth century a flagship of the Knights Templar approaches the shores of the Island of Cyprus (acquired by the Templars at the end of the twelfth century), sent by its Grand Master Jacques de Molay, to collect and attend to the deteriorated health of his great brother and friend of the Order the spiritual Master Ramón Llull.
Let us remember from past writings, how already in 1292, the spiritual master Ramon Llull, had defended the permanence of the Order of the Temple, advising Nicholas IV to proceed to the merger between Hospitalarios and Templars.
In 1262, James I the Conqueror (1213-1276) part in agreement his kingdom between his sons receiving James II (1243-1311)-the younger-the Kingdom of Mallorca= (1276-1311.)
According to Father Maziéres, it is thanks to his firm relationship with the Templars that Jaime II manages to establish his inspiring policy based on the premise that it was these ancient 'Heretics', who settled and conquered the Balearic Islands, especially Mallorca.
'... of King James I born in a house of the Temple and spends his childhood with the knights... educated under the tutelage of the Master of Aragon, Fra' Guillem de Montredó.' (2)
The Ciutat de Mallorca, the Balearic Islands and the Roselló, were always well seen by Cathars and Templars.
Considered by many 'seedbeds of heretics' who eagerly searched for the treasures of the Cerros del Puig and 'wisdom of the dragonera'.
By many it is recognized that the Temple is installed in Mallorca together with Hebrews and Muslims.
It is here that Ramón Llull was born on the island of Mallorca, shortly after the Conquest and uprooted from Islam in 1229 by Jaime I, The Conqueror, incorporating it into the Crown of Aragon. Ramon Llull is a pseudonym.
His name is Ramon Amat and Erill(?/).
Possibly meaning and associated with the Catalan Ul=ojo and Llul=Luz. Eye of the Soul.
His spiritual name=Eye of Light. He never had an academic training since he was a natural poet and courtly singer. Always... Poet. He never formally studies at the University.
But, thanks to his wisdom and will, and then of the spiritual vision, he is moved by the hidden springs of his mission until he becomes a professor at the Sorbonne in Paris and recognition as a unique intellectual authority in his time full of difficulties and constant stumbles.
Always in force, even more so today.
The Mountain of the Randa massif was its sacred Mount and mount-sanctuary, even before, of the light vision of the master Ramón Llull in 1274.
That sacred mountain = Randa, was recognized for centuries as the dwelling place of enigmatic shepherds = 'heavenly Moorish shepherds'.
It is they who possessed the ancestral wisdom transmitted by the ancestral Tradition of the heretics and custodians of Arcana-Wisdom among their retreats in caves and secluded, solitary places.
His meeting and enriching and enigmatic experience with one of these Celestial Shepherds on Mount Randa is discussed.
'I went up the mountain of Randa with the intention of praying and better serving our Lord. I spent eight days, at the end of which while I was in a contemplative attitude, suddenly, I had a certain Divine Enlightenment that guided me about the Order and the Divine Form of how I had to do the books against the errors of the Infidels. With great tears of joy, I gave infinite thanks to Our Lord for that wonderful mercy that had been granted to me.'
(Ramon Llull)
Ramon Llull was tutor to the son of James I from 1213-1276. Let us remember the Templar relationship of James II and his constant support for the Order of Tempera.
Llull maintains that fidelity and appreciation to the Knights of the Temple in their concept of spiritual friar-soldier. It is faith for the reason to write 'The Best Book in the World', which really is ALL of his work.
Until we get to his Vita Coetanea (autobiographical text).
His enlightened spiritual mission and his dignified Work, makes popes and kings call him for consultations for his enormous erudition and wisdom in all fields of knowledge of his time, and even help him to build Monasteries of culture to learn oriental languages and carry the evangelizing message of Sufist and mystical features in different languages. Miramar is a good example.
Master Llull makes Montpellier his center of intellectual activity. Let us remember that -later- the monks of Cartuja in Vauvert Paris, illustrate his Illuminated Manuscript.
The palace and gardens of Luxembourg was formerly known as Vauvert, the Carthusian brothers since 1250 had settled in the south of the city in Gentilly in the Marne Valley, then, they moved to Vauvert and adapted the old royal residence to their needs, the chapel of the castle was monastic church.
In those lands contributed by the Crown the Carthusians in 1260 lay the first stone of the new monastery and copy Illuminated Manuscripts especially those of the master Llull.
As we can see it is the wisdom of the Elementalis tree that explains the structure of things where the trunk bases and constitutes the 'substance'=Hyle and its leaves form Ternarios-3 branches x 3=9[elements of the world in primordial structures=Sefirot and Letters].
The Divinity is represented by an Eye within a triangle diffusing rays by means of 9 angelic hierarchies in three triangular divisions.
A crucial aspect of its environment is the atmosphere in Mallorca era of expansive and commercial policy that Aragon takes advantage of in the commercial expansion of a Commercially active Mediterranean and whose borders of Islam are very alive and fruitful.
Of course, Llull was a man of his time and a strict Mediterranean historical context. Their mission is based on their vision. In addition, for the master Ramón Llull, his life is a pilgrimage of sacrifice and personal offering tied to an iron will of pious action in the form of a spiritual crusade, in which prayer and the practical act turn out to be the same thing.
Now, the vision of the mystic demands particular and unique language, since the experience of the vision is always almost non-transferable in its public and profane version.
Let us remember the vision of Jakob Böhme or Athanasius Kircher on Mount Mentorella.
It is striking the way and manner that its mission is framed in a doctrine of unification in a rational, logical and explanatory way.
However, it is a teaching-learning system that starts from the concrete and geometric-arithmetic, towards Universal Principles in a mixture of combinations of those same principles and figures.
(Book of The Squaring and Triangulation of the Circle)
Divine Triangle of the everything proceeds. Eye that Sees Everything, knows Everything. (3)
It is the wisdom of the sacred tree that is the ladder of alchemical-Kabbalistic ascension and descent. Man-tree.
In any case he goes out of his way (ecstasy,) to return recreated himself in spiritual frenzy.
However, the unintelligible forms of vision must be assimilated and structured in a new rational logical order = Ars Combinatorial. Ars magna.
For Lull, God's designs are inscrutable, and his will is service. Don Ramón is a Mediterranean Insular who recognized very well the borders of Christianity between Christians, Muslims and Jews. Born in 1232-1315 in Palma de Mallorca. From a wealthy family possibly with a courtly vein.
He was a courtly troubadour-vate-poet-singer.
Theologian and Philosopho. Self-taught.
Layman married and womanizer-for them his best poetry-, until receiving the shocking and repetitive Christic vision, after his 30s.
Around 1266 and 1272 he received (5 times) the mink of the crucified Christ. Curiously, Llull is all his life in search of an Art of universal value where 'the cyrcular disc' is Ars generalis and Universal Science of rotating character is Nova Logica (1512).
We can say that it receives a receptive visionary experience of a rationalistic mystical nature. There is some degree of 'shamanic vision' and 'telesthetic madness' on his journey to Randa Mountain.
Sacred mountain for the Templars!
However, there is no doubt that it is ambivalent and contradictory ecstasy that emanates from his spiritual vision. In this way it is Vision that gives that sense of superior Cristian faith to demonstrate the supreme and efficient value of Christianity against the Saracens.
Consequently, a constant traveler between repeated hardships through the 'known world'. He travels to his last days. Paris, Genoa, Tunisia, Montpelier, Rome.
In the city of Pisa, he published his Ars Brevis in 1308. Visit Syria, Naples, the Holy Land, Cyprus and many places of pilgrimage.
He receives a divine message that he has the obligation to transmit as a new message, throughout that Mediterranean world of his time.
In his first period of literary production, he did not sign his works according to the scholarly researcher Amador Vega. He must learn Latin, Arabic and Hebrew well as he was never an academic or had formal studies (just like the other visionary sage the master Jacob Bohme).
He is on a constant pilgrimage and in one of them - when he went down to Barcelona - is the meeting and advice received from San Ramón de Penyafort, cultured, intellectual and wise.
It is because of him that he decides not to go to Paris to study, establishing his intellectual cultivation in Mallorca and refining his message.
A whole new and sacred message = Ars Combinatorics. Undoubtedly, it is his conviction to maintain and support the sense of spiritual crusade of his 'prophetic madness'. The nature of this vision pushes and sustains the spiritual mission of Master Ramón Llull.
In it, Ramón Llull maintains his pilgrim life in the search for an Art of universal value between First Causes = Dignitates Dei, which are the names or divine attributes arranged between the complex structures of combinations of Letters, arranged in Ternary structures (3 + 3 + 3 = 9).
They descend and ascend=Ars ascendi and Ars descendi.
Ladder of alchemical assentation that Athanasius Kircher assimilates and develops as a language in syllogisms based on the expansion and devotional methodology of LLull's dynamic and contradictory thought. Dr. John Dee assimilates and fuses the philosophy of Master Ramon LLull. '... Dee was able to place the names of the angels into a circular wheel, similar to lullian and cabalistic wheels, and clarify their relations.' (4)
It is a whole thought in constant movement and dynamism rotating between discs and a series of sacred letters in concentric and combinatorial circles. Through a series of combinations Universal Science and Ars generalis is established in Pythagorean algebraic keys, 9 relative predicates, cardinal questions and subjects, vices and virtues. (5) For Dr. Frederick Koning, 'Raymond Lulius composed potassium bicarbonate'. (6)
It is Combinatorial Art of 9 attributes of God pointed out between Trinitarian relations of the Ternary Divinal=3.
For Leibniz—whose alchemical scholarship was perhaps only matched by Newton, according to Elémire Zolla—master Llull is the "father of rigorous mathematical logic."
These divine attributes are combined by the Enlightened Master with the Letters ranging from B to Ka. (7)
So, the First Letter=A is Absent, since it is reserved exclusively for the hidden aspect of God=IN SOPH.
It is the basis of the Combinatorial Art assimilated by Agrippa, Giordano Bruno, Pico della Mirandola, Athanasius Kircher, Dr. John Dee, and especially the master Nicolás de Cusa.
We can say that it is the same complicated and erudite magical-theurgical system of teaching assimilated in the classical mnemonics of concentric circles that Giordano Bruno gathers.
Pico, was the first to explicitly fuse Kabbalah with 'Christian Lullism', following others, especially John Dee and Kircher.
'John Dee was deeply immersed in Lullism and he apparently accepted the Traditional attitude toward the Lullist-cabalist synthesis; at any rate he always practiced his angel-magic within the Christian trinitarian framework on which Lullism is based.'
(In John Dee it is fundamental and in Kircher, spiritual sustenance)
'Magnetism, music, optics, archeology, chemistry... Lullism,... were only some of the subjects to which he devoted substancial studies.' He finds its key not in Hermeticism or occult philosophy per se, but in the nexus of a Lullist combinatory method and a Cusanian monist metaphysics.' (9)
Based on Llull's complex system of permutations and combinations, it is that Athanasius Kircher also manages to establish 9 Essential Principles or Attributes of God= (Trinity of Trinities); thus, demonstrating the combinations of a 'system of answered questions'.
This system of Llull is ARS MAGNA the Great Art that is derived from Arabic forms and techniques of astrological and angelic consultations of Kabbalah major Kabbalah and Hebrew Letters that are combined, contemplated and recombined.
He publishes more than 260 works in Catalan =Blanquerna and Book of Wonders and his poetry, Latin for cults and monks, Arabic to preach to infidels.
They reflect the very structure of the Universe within an Art of high logic-arithmetic-mechanistic of Llull.
His work is an immense Book in many Volumes that celebrate contemplation as a cosmological-alchemical and theurgical description immersed in a method that sustains our relationship between divine reality and contemplative mysticism of the Master.
It is Reform of that understanding and method of learning.
His greatest Art= 'Ars magna Sciendi is his most difficult, being an elaboration of the Art of Ramón Lull, the thirteenth-century Majorcan philosoher, into a kind of symbolic logic.' (10)
Let us recall Kircher's Ars Magna Sciendi and its famous Frontispiece of Lullian character.
The Divine Eye and Eye of the Divinity of the Lulian Tree of sciences or the forest of Knowledge ='arbor scientiarum'.
Divine Triangle where 9 angelic Hierarchies are divided into Ternarians and 3 Triangular divisions of the DELTA SACRO. Divine Triangle from which EVERYTHING comes.
Nothing more beautiful than knowing All Things.
(Plato)
'Without differences there are no concordances'
(Ramon Llull)
In his Breviculum, xiv century his disciples project in a splendid and illuminated way 9 Philosophers who embody 9 doubts, which arise in front of 9 objective realities.
9 Absolute and Relative Principles That Unite God's Rope of Grace. It is the GOLD Chain.
They hold it from on high.
'... these Rules lead from the tower of faith and grace to sure principles, for they carry in them the very causes of reason willing to receive them beyond the doubt that your questions raise.'
(Ramón Llull)
Principles as the structure of the world and of things manifested.
'Lullism is essentially a mystical philosophy that purports to be capable of demonstrating truth in all areas of knowledge.' (11)
Kabbalah of magic-theurgic and alchemical divinatory of the master Ramón Llull in a mystical and visionary language. Possibly in agreement and intellectual contact with the Aragonese sage Abraham Abulafía and his Kabbala.
Origin of the Word, the angelic language and the writing of the most important Book of the World... The Total Work of the master Ramón Llull.
His rationalist mysticism describes the vision through the causes of the phenomena of creation =Dignitates Dei.
Names or attributes of God in Wisdom, will, virtue, glory and justice following the Tradition of traditional methodology and devotional teaching of the Islamic tradition and techniques of Sufis between names, attributes, numbers, diagrams and symbolic alphabets.
His Arte Magna is a combination of knowledge for more than 240 works that forms A SINGLE CORPUS.
Lulian Art is fundamentally alchemy of the spirit in the process of being refined thanks to its Major Art. 'According to a certain Treatise Ramon Llull met Arnau de Vilanova in Naples... and his reasoning and experiments convinced Llull of the power of alchemy'. (12)
The wise Menéndez y Pelayo confirms: 'He is credited with a cordial relationship with Arnau de Vilanova, received under 'Secret Seal of the King' from his alchemical experiments.' (13)
Lullio was an alchemist to whom works (Canon) are attributed, which he never wrote. (14) Ramón Llull dominates the occulta medicine and the Great Art of Knowledge = Ars Magna (1305-1308).
In his vision of Randa—similar to the shamanic journey—he sees the hierarchically-mathematical divine attributes that cover all things; attached to a sacred alphabet.
'You must know, my son, that I have changed the Course of Nature, so that (...) you will be able to see, without worrying too much, the spirits escape (...) in the air; they will condense in the form of monstrous beasts or men flying back and forth like clouds.' (15)
The spiritual nature of the 'ars Raymundi', similar in many respects to the combinatorial art of Abraham Abulafia, based on the attributes of God as creative causes (''short'' atque magnum arts).
9 Attributes Dignities of the Highest = Beautiful-B, Magnitude-C, Eternitas-D, Potestas-E, Sapientia-F, Voluntas-G, Virtus-H, Veritas-I and Gloria-K. And the central A.
It is an art that can be manifested as Infallible Art at any level of creation. Art of 9 Letters = BCDEFGHIK The Letter A = is the ABSOLUTE and Ineffable, the unmentioned ...Nameless.
His life is a long journey of pilgrimage and inner alchemy in Light. 1308-Pisa. 1309-11 Paris. 1312-13 Vienna. 1313-1314 Sicily resides in Messina and finally 1314-1316 in Tunisia.
Already by boat via Tunisia he arrived in 1316 to his beloved Mallorca where he died.
Much is said and commented on the Master. True and False. John Cremer in his Testament goes so far as to state: 'He also states that Llull was able to transform into a Red Hen at will.' (16)
His enormous and significant alchemical-hermetic work we will speak on another occasion.
The number of alchemical works attributed to him is significant and even controversial.
'Ainsi aprés ce detail, on ne doit pas étre surpris d'apprendre que Raymond Lulle avoit fait plus de cinq cens volumes sur la Science Hermétique'. (17)

INNO ALL'AMORE DI GIORDANO BRUNO Un'unica forza, l'Amore, unisce infiniti mondi e li rende vivi.
