Tradition of the Chaldean Wise

"In appearance Everything goes towards the One and in reality, Everything is in the One".

The ancient Mystical Tradition of the Chaldean Masters (Kaldu), very fine and delicate Golden Thread of spiritual transmission.
The one that originates and develops between the Secret and Initiatic chambers of the Temples consecrated to the highest and most cultured theurgy of Mesopotamia.
A recent and indispensable resource for the formal study of powdered and deposited cuneiform sources among ancient clay libraries or abundant records from the old temples of Ur and sandy Sumer, is the Cuneiform Comments Project.
(Cuneiform Commentaries Project CCP) attached to Yale University)
However, a relatively large number of scholars and large academics rigorously and scientifically already manage to share recent research.
New documentary evidence about the deep thought and complex lexicography of the peoples that inhabited millenary Mesopotamia [i].
Texts in Sumerian appear, with relative frequency, as early as 3,200 BC. C.
Many of them, found in Turkey, Egypt, Syria, Iraq and Iran.
“The earliest written texts in the world date about 3,200 a. C. and are probably written in Sumeria. ''
(Eva Anagnostou-Laoutides)
For researcher Mircea Eliade: "But those documents surely reflect older religious beliefs."
Spiritual elements-catechesis, occult rites and esoteric teachings-, transmitted through the millennia and whose origin was the theurgical and magical works of the initiation temples.
Through their ceremonies, invocations and rituals, they were not lost but developed and reformed transmitted by Mystical Societies without interruption.
Its original significance of that Universal Chain is assimilated through syncretism.
And, we can even say, that each divine modality could change its name, but the same prophetic essence -Philosophia perennis- and oracular remained unscathed, crystalline and pure.
Primordial essence that comes from the Ancient Tradition of astrological or astronomical Wisdom and SINGLE Source.
Origin of the DIVINE REVELATION AND WISDOM.
That was the zealous and inspired work of the primordial reception of the theurgist or of the sympathetic magic-prisca theologia- of the oracular sibyl. [2]
The Sumerian spiritual root was transformed without losing its primordial essence and the continuation of the traditional lineage exclusively through external assimilation.
Julian the Theurgist and Julian the Chaldean, receive and transmit a long initiatory tradition of fundamental and spiritual divine Mysteries.
Totally framed in a millenary wisdom of those old Masters of the land of Chaldea- “mat Bit Yakin” -mat kaldi- Chaldeans or “magicians”.
Originally, exclusive and consecrated members of the Sumerian priesthood; forming an active part of the select class of priests and military aristocracy of worthy astrologers=
(Daniel 1: 4), and Babylonian sages.
The organized movement of the Chaldeans, which under the dual paternity or authorship of both Julians, will survive in the West, already existed in the first third of the second century of our era.
The Chaldeans constituted an initiatory group led by their hierophants.
In this specific case Julian the Chaldean, as practitioners of conservative rites of doctrines indicated by oral symbols = the logia di 'epon or versified and physical formulas.
All of a traditional nature, that is, of divine origin and regularly transmitted, in order to have an effective or theurgical character. [3]
To a large extent, this group of initiates or mystery association possessed a complex and rich scaffolding of ancestral ideological and eschatological speculations of a deep ethical and philosophical nature.
That at the same time, gave life and sustenance to a glorious way or genuine form of initiatory philosophical life.
Closely related to the initiatory process of CLOSING YOUR EYES.
Fused to a strict code of SILENCE -final consummation of all wisdom-, the cosmic sympathy and genuine and active dedication to the sublimated and transforming power of the Sacred Fire.
Solar Source of Virtue, Life and Wisdom.
Powerful astrological wisdom of immemorial micro-macrocosmic currents of the Chaldean schools that permeates and nourishes other later currents and schools of thought all fused to that religious feeling of many peoples and cultures. [4]
One of the primary and fundamental ideas of the philosophy of the pilgrimage process and the spiritual journey of the Chaldean initiate is to be able to reconnect with the mythical center or sacred place.
It is there that the tree of life or "the true plant of immortality" exists - because [there is] no true plant on earth. '' [5]
(Frag. 107, Chaldean Oracles)
It is worth clarifying, that initiatory and mysterious secret of the gods is sublimated and transformed into the sap-Hom or Haoma- through the very search for the plant of immortality-, tree of life.
Or, "arbor philosophica" and katholikon pharmakon-, revealed exclusively and concretely through Utnapishtim to the hero Gilgamesh.
Unique process of intellectual and internal revelation of the truth, is where the serpent, as a mercurial substance and mysterium of the ouroboros [spiritus Mercurii], manages to renew its skin.
"One is the serpent whose poison is doubly composed." [6]
It is here that the assertive practice of divine inspiration of the Magus and Alchemist finds and embraces the deep feeling of the theological and ritual content = (symbola and synthemata.
Path of the alchemical Opus or Magnus Opus.
The same intimate spiritual feeling is immersed and constant in that ultimate sense of the COSMIC seminal fluid and substance deposited in the [chymos] Ureos and ouroboros or “serpent that speaks” of the Great Work.
'' Both Nabu and Ninurta are viewed as God's weapons, as powers of Marduk. The Tree itself (the prototype of the Pythagorean tetractys and Sephirot pleroma, or the Garden of Knowledge, kosmos noetos) represents a royal mystical path of spiritual grown and ascent…” [7]
The One and First Transcendent Fire is part of the conglomerate or organized body of traditional Chaldean teachings [8].
Furthermore, the poetry of Gilgamesh, substrate or spiritual ideological essence of the purifying virtue of Fire in the tradition of the primordial knowledge of Zarathustra and of his Theurgic priests or Singers of Ahura Mazda.
Unmatched possessors of the Magical-Sympathetic Conception of Fire or of the fluid X'varenah Iranian, seminal-igneous, luminous, spermatic and solar, Primordial-UNIQUE FIRE. [9]
It is the Ancient Path that leads from Darkness to Light.
From death to life.
Those subtle traces of Chaldean teachings had a powerful influence on the Corpus of Neoplatonic and Hermetic-Renaissance thought.
They were indicating the safe path and path to follow within the development and dispersal of that spiritual theurgical thought.
Assimilated and fused to firm Neo-Pythagorean, Gnostic and Hermetic elements.
"With the term" theurgy "we refer to the knowledge of the theory and practice necessary to relate to the gods not only by elevating our intellect, but also by means of concrete rites and material objects that set divine influences in motion wherever and whenever we want, thus allowing angelic beings to appear before us.” [x]
Thus, this pure and clean magic transmitted and jealously preserved, by the Chaldean Sumerian Mystical Tradition, until reaching Neoplatonists and Renaissance.
It is based and ennobles itself in the conscious reinsertion of the soul into an arduous spiritual process of descent and theurgic ascension "rest in God, breathing the midday rays", according to Damascio. [Xi]
Within the alchemical tradition, the Chaldean Spiritual Master and follower of the stars, is represented through the neat devotion of the astrologer priest and worthy theurgist.
Absorbing the fragrance of the Mysteries, he masters perfectly the elements of the mystique of the throne.
MYSTERIUM TREMENDUM and Hidden Arcana of the Star of the Merkaba of David under his tunic and who can carry right-handed and, in his hands, the Giant Compass.
Worthy Tool, to achieve the execution of the finest astrological tracing in Ancestral Geometric Figures (circle, square and triangle), as a summary and domain of Opus Magnum. [12]
The Chaldean Oracles, Proclus' favorite religious poetry, deserve to be reviewed.
Neoplatonism adopts theurgy as the Way of knowledge after Plotinus.
And, this collection of Oracles supposedly transmitters of Eastern wisdom, composed around the third century in very dark and abstract language, lent itself perfectly to Neoplatonic purposes. ”[13]
For the Chaldean Wisdom there was "celestial writing".
The one that the Masters first possessed through being custodians of the ORAL Tradition.
Then, through systematic and educated study, they collect and assimilate it within their Centers for the Transmission of teachings.
This stream of intellectual Tradition and Sumerian Akkadian writing - "stream of tradition"; it proceeds directly from the foundations of the cosmological edifice 'and its astral sciences.
It was transformed into a firm and precise reading of a very difficult Tradition and Science of horoscopy and reading of the "Star" = in Sumerian "Mul" = Star and mul-an, = Celestial Star.
Both forms refer to the star and also to the cuneiform star sign in the writing on the tablets.
Thus, demonstrating an intimate and firm relationship between the sky, the stars and writing. [14]
“To speak of Mesopotamian scribal scholarship is such a general way perhaps requires a note of explanation. Assyriologists are familiar with the connotation of the phrase "stream of tradition" in reference to Sumerian and Akkadian texts. The term was used by AL Oppenheim to represent the literary corpus preserved by cuneiform copyists over the course of nearly two milennia and over a wide geographical area within the Mesopotamia cultural sphere of influence. '' [15]
The teachings of the Chaldeans point towards a personal relationship with the sacred fire and the due importance of correctly reconstructing the path of ascension of the soul through internal illumination.
Firm reencounter with the true experience of divine revelation.
It is a whole sacra-intimate relationship and by itself.
A complicated elaboration of the difficult process of the rite, with material elements of a genuine and true soteriological and cosmological spiritual practice.
The Neoplatonic philosopher Iamblico - Chaldean Wisdom - knew this Mystical Tradition among the Old Masters Theurgists or, “Athletes of Fire. '' [16]
According to this tremendous solar theology, it is that there is the indissoluble principle of ANCESTRAL TRUTH and fundamental identity-mystical union.
Magical union-between the Sunlight-Man.
Enabling the ascent of the purified body through the solar rays towards the ONE and the irradiation of LIGHT.
“We, then, in accordance with the ancient doctrines of the Assyrians, will truly transmit our opinion to you and we will reveal our doctrines to you clearly…
(Iamblico Book I).
Chaldean wisdom associates the celestial zodiac with the microcosm of the personal temple. Within the internal darkness hides the divine origin of the FIRST TRANSCENDENT FIRE.
We are Cosmos!
To enter the path of immortality, the initiate in the Mysteries must follow the rite of regeneration of Gilgamesh or The Sublime Blessing of the oracle of Urim and Thummim.
Protected by the body of the Supreme Royal Chaldean priesthood of Melchizedek.
(Dead Sea Scrolls II Q Melch, Nehemiah 7:65)
In this glorious way the old Tradition or system of divine transmission inspired by theological and initiatory poetry as revelation resurfaces and expands.
Transmitted and documented in the ancient cuneiform tablets of the cultured temples and sanctuaries of the "mystery community" of Babylon [17].
In the Holy Scriptures there is an association with the Chaldeans, since the presence of Abraham the Chaldean in cultured “friendship” and alliance between King Hezekiah and the Chaldean Marduk-apal-iddina (the biblical Merodach Baladan)
(2 Kings 20:12 -19).
Tradition and astrological wisdom witnessed and perfectly executed by the learned and cunning-dream followers-magician-priests-astrologers and wise "followers of the star" of the EASTERN CHALDEAN caste.
(Matthew 2: 1-16)
